I always prep my eggs before I use them to paint. You can read about how I do it by looking through this Easter egg tutorial.

Take any two colors of your choice. I used “salmon”and “metallic mint green” from the HobbyLine colors I have. All you need to do is paint random stroke with both the colors around the egg.

For the pink abstract Easter egg, I painted random strokes and allowed it to dry. After the paint dries, do a dry brush stroke with white gouache over it.

I also added a tad bit of copper gouache and created brush stokes by dragging the already painted pink strokes. Don’t worry if it looks a bit crowded because adding white will balance it out.

Wait for the paint to  dry. Then do a dry brush stroke of white on top of the pinks. Dry brush means to avoid adding any water to the pigment. And that’s it. How simple were these abstract Easter eggs?
